I understand the place social media has in our lives. It has brought people together, helped artists find an audience, and opened doors that might otherwise have stayed closed. There is good in that.

But the way it feels today is something I struggle with. The noise, the hostility, the pressure to keep looking and reacting—I find it frightening at times, and often depressing. I step away because of what it does to me.

Galerio comes from a different impulse: to look closely, to be curious, and to find something worth spending time with. I want the conversations around it to have that same feeling.

So if you have a question about a photograph or a place, or disagree with something I’ve written, I’d rather you wrote to me here. It’s a private conversation between us. No public performance, no need to collect followers. Just a chance to talk about something that matters to us.

I may be travelling or working, so I won’t always reply straight away. But this is a way to reach me personally, and to pick up the conversation when we both have time.
